On February 14, SAEK Egaleo carried out an on-site visit to a wind turbine installation in order to capture visual and spatial data for the development of a Matterport immersive virtual tour.

The activity was implemented within the framework of the BIG ART project (Bootcamps in Greece with Augmented Reality Technologies for VET Centers in Israel and Albania) and contributes to the creation of a 3D Digital Twin of the internal structure of a renewable energy installation.

The purpose of this initiative is to enhance vocational education and training (VET) by providing students with immersive access to real industrial environments. Through the use of digital twin technology, learners will be able to explore the internal components of a wind turbine, understand its operational structure, and familiarize themselves with renewable energy systems in a safe and interactive way.

This action strengthens the project’s objective of integrating innovative digital technologies into VET curricula and fostering stronger connections between education, industry, and green energy sectors.
