Evaluation of Skills
Deliverable 4.4 evaluates the educational outcomes of the BIG ART pilot training, project-based learning activities and national bootcamps, with a particular focus on digital, technical and transversal competences developed by VET students.
Assessing the Learning Experience
The evaluation examines students’ perceptions of the organisation of the activities, the learning outcomes achieved, the development of technical and transversal skills, the quality of mentoring and support, and overall satisfaction with the BIG ART learning experience.
From Training to Competence
BIG ART combines immersive technologies, project-based learning and real-world applications in order to support both digital competences and transversal skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving.
Strong learning outcomes
Student responses showed consistently high satisfaction with the project-based learning activities and their relevance to vocational education.

3D scanning, spatial documentation, digital modelling, virtual environment editing and integration of multimedia information into digital twin models.

Use of specialised software, immersive technology workflows, digital file management and practical application of Matterport-based tools.
Transversal Skills
Teamwork, communication, problem solving, project organisation and presentation of project outcomes.

Evidence of Educational Impact
The evaluation results confirm that the combination of immersive technologies, digital twin applications and project-based learning provides an effective framework for vocational education. Students reported high levels of satisfaction, improved understanding of AR/VR technologies, stronger practical skills and positive experiences of teamwork and collaborative learning.
