As part of Work Package 3 of the BIG ART (Bootcamps In Greece with Augmented Reality Technologies) project, a series of online mentoring sessions was successfully implemented to support teachers and trainers following the Train-the-Trainers Bootcamp.
A total of four synchronous online mentoring sessions were delivered on:
- 23 October
- 27 October
- 13 November
- 11 December
Adequate time was intentionally scheduled between meetings to allow participating teams to reflect on the feedback received, further develop their ideas, and practically apply the guidance within their own classrooms and student groups.
The online mentoring sessions brought together educators and mentors from Greece, Israel, and Albania, fostering cross-country collaboration and peer learning. The mentoring activities focused on:
- Technical support related to Augmented Reality (AR) tools and platforms
- Pedagogical integration of AR and 3D Digital Twin technologies into VET curricula
- Design and implementation of project-based learning activities
- Definition of assessment criteria for student projects
- Exchange of experiences, challenges, and best practices among participating institutions
Through these sessions, teachers strengthened their confidence in applying AR technologies, addressed practical challenges, and received targeted pedagogical and technical guidance. The mentoring process played a key role in bridging the gap between training and real-world classroom implementation, while contributing to the creation of a sustainable community of practice among participating educators.
The successful completion of the online mentoring sessions represents an important milestone for the BIG ART project, supporting innovation, capacity building, and the long-term adoption of immersive technologies in vocational education and training.
