Digital Twin Training & Student Projects in Israel
BIG ART activities in Israel focused on integrating Digital Twin technologies into vocational education through hands-on Matterport training, immersive digital tools and collaborative student projects.
Bringing Digital Twins into VET
In Israel, BIG ART project activities focused on the integration of Digital Twin technologies into vocational education through hands-on training and collaborative student projects. VET students were trained in the use of Matterport technology and immersive digital tools to capture and document real spaces in 3D.
Applying Skills through Team Projects
Student teams developed Digital Twin projects representing laboratories, educational facilities and other professional environments related to their fields of study, applying both technical and digital competences through practical teamwork.
From Matterport training to project presentation
The Israeli implementation combined technical learning, practical 3D capture and multidisciplinary project work.
Digital Twin Concepts
Students were introduced to immersive digital tools and the use of Digital Twin technologies in vocational and professional environments.
Matterport Training
Learners developed practical skills in capturing, documenting and presenting real environments in 3D.
Collaborative Projects
Student teams applied their technical and digital knowledge through multidisciplinary project work.
National Bootcamp
Projects were presented during the national bootcamp, where teams were evaluated and selected for the international competition.
Real professional spaces transformed into Digital Twins
Student teams worked with environments connected to their fields of study, turning real spaces into interactive digital learning resources.
Laboratories
Students created 3D representations of laboratory environments, supporting virtual exploration and technical documentation.
Educational Facilities
Digital Twin models made learning spaces accessible in an interactive format for training, presentation and educational use.
Professional Environments
Projects also represented other real spaces related to students’ vocational fields, strengthening the connection between learning and professional practice.
National Bootcamp & International Selection
The national bootcamp provided a platform for student teams to present their Digital Twin projects and demonstrate the skills developed during the training. The evaluation process identified the teams selected to participate in the international BIG ART competition.
Digital Innovation in Israeli VET
Through hands-on Matterport training, collaborative project work and the creation of 3D Digital Twins, BIG ART enabled VET students in Israel to connect digital technologies with real professional environments. The activities strengthened technical competence, teamwork and the practical application of immersive technologies within vocational education.
