The BIG ART consortium brings together vocational education, technology expertise and international cooperation across Greece, Italy, Israel and Albania.
One consortium, four countries
The present consortium is composed of 2 EU partners and 2 partners from non-EU countries, together with associated private organisations supporting the implementation of the project.
Each partner contributes complementary expertise in vocational education, AR/VR technologies, digital learning, capacity building, dissemination and cooperation with industry.
Thematic S.A.E.K. Egaleo
Thematic S.A.E.K. Egaleo (School of Advanced Vocational Training Egaleo) is one of the Public Institutes of Vocational Training in the west side area of Athens, Greece.
Established in 1992, S.A.E.K. Egaleo is the oldest Institute of Vocational Training in Greece and one of the largest in Athens. Its programmes cover a wide range of modern technical, digital and creative professional fields.
Specialisations include informatics, computer technology, automotive systems, renewable energy, naval automation, digital marketing, interior architecture, medical equipment technology and other vocational sectors.
Role in the Project
SAEK Egaleo is responsible for overall coordination and management. It leads the planning and design of the bootcamps, hosts the main training activities in Greece, and plays a central role in AR/VR piloting, project-based learning and skills evaluation.
Mediterranea Web Applications S.r.l.
MEDITERRANEA WEB APPLICATIONS (MWAPP) is an Italian IT company specialising in software development, web applications, digital technologies and ICT services.
The company also operates in education, ICT training, research and European projects, combining software development expertise with vocational learning and digital innovation.
MWAPP has particular expertise in Augmented Reality and 3D Digital Twin applications using the Matterport platform.
Role in the Project
MWAPP provides the project’s core technical expertise and trains VET teachers and students in Matterport, 360° capture and digital twin technologies. This knowledge is then applied during the project-based learning activities.
ORT Braude College
ORT Braude College is part of ORT Israel, the country’s largest science and technology educational network. ORT operates vocational schools, technology colleges and other educational institutions throughout Israel.
ORT Braude combines theoretical education with hands-on practical training and strong links with industry, supporting learners in developing technical and professional competences.
The BIG ART project represents an important opportunity for Israeli VET education to participate in Erasmus+ Capacity Building cooperation.
Role in the Project
ORT Braude acts as a key implementation partner in Israel. It supports teacher and student participation, coordinates local implementation and outreach, contributes to dissemination and promotes the integration of AR and digital twin technologies in vocational education.
Kolin Gjoka VET School
Kolin Gjoka VET School is located in Lezha, Albania, and operates within the national vocational education system. The school has approximately 448 students and 52 teachers.
Its educational fields include Information and Communication Technology, Food Technology, Economy and Business, Hospitality and Tourism, and Social and Health Services.
Training profiles include Website Development, Multimedia, Travel and Tourism Services, Cooking and Patisserie, Hotel and Restaurant Services, Commerce and other vocational specialisations.
Role in the Project
Kolin Gjoka participates in all stages of project implementation. Teachers and students take part in AR/VR training, bootcamps and project-based learning activities, strengthening digital capacity and cooperation with local stakeholders and industry.
